Fathom was engaged to define, evaluate and recommend the optimal route or combination of routes for a leading manufacturer serving the commercial construction industry, to maximize profitable and sustainable growth. Areas of exploration included organic growth from the present base, growth through acquisition and entry into new categories. Fathom delivered a five year plan focused on significant organic growth in 24 U.S. states with detailed recommendations on improving manufacturing capacity, improving lead times, restructuring the sales force, changing some reporting structures and evolving the culture, including improving internal communications. The plan was approved and implemented. The five year plan targets were achieved ahead of target.
